Companies require greater financial support when they are involved in expanding their international presence. Aware of the challenges facing Galician companies in terms of accessing external processes, the Autonomous Government provides several lines of funding.

Administrative control of the Autonomous Region of Galicia is in hands of its autonomous government, the Xunta de Galicia, and its various bodies and organizations as defined in the Statute of Autonomy for Galicia. One of these bodies, dependent on the Regional Ministry of Economy and Finance, is the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE), defined as the Regional Development Agency of Galicia.
One of the IGAPE’s main objectives is to facilitate the international presence of Galician companies by providing a suitable range of services and financial support for their differing requirements. Funding is available to finance market research or enterprise analysis to determine the capacity of businesses for international expansion, for appearing at international trade fairs and promoting international enterprise cooperation.
